Use the Mini Chatbot While Customers Browse

Understand the floating catalog assistant, product context, mobile sizes, unread answers, and the route to the main chatbot.

What this helps you do

Let customers keep the catalog visible while asking about what they see.

Use the Mini Chatbot While Customers Browse visual example

Keep the assistant compact by default

The floating launcher opens a smaller chatbot instead of covering the full catalog. On desktop it stays aligned with the catalog area. On mobile it reserves space so customers can still scroll the products behind it.

Customers can expand, minimize, or resize the panel when they need more room.

Use the current product as context

When a customer opens a product detail, the mini assistant can receive that item as the current context. This helps it understand phrases such as this one, this model, or this menu item.

The customer can clear the item context when they want to ask about the whole catalog.

Let the catalog react to the answer

When an answer returns relevant catalog item identifiers, the page can close the detail sheet if needed, scroll to the item, and highlight the image, name, and price.

The visual effect should support orientation. It should not prevent scrolling or ignore reduced-motion preferences.

Use the main chatbot for the full experience

The top Main chatbot button opens the original public AI page. Use it when customers need the complete navigation, reservation, inquiry, or other public chatbot functions.

The mini chatbot is the product-browsing companion, not a separate AI with different knowledge.

Quick checklist

  • The launcher stays inside the catalog layout?
  • The panel does not hide the whole mobile page?
  • Product context clears correctly?
  • Relevant items scroll into view?
  • The main chatbot link opens the correct AI?
  • Consent and keyboard states were tested on a phone?
