Set Your Public Chatbot Design and First Greeting
Choose a chatbot theme, first greeting, and visual style that match your brand without making the experience confusing.
Make the public chatbot feel trustworthy before the first question is typed.
Choose a theme that matches the business context
A restaurant can feel warm and visual. A clinic, law office, finance office, or B2B sales team usually needs a calmer and more professional look. The theme should make the customer feel they are still inside your brand.
Do not choose a theme only because it is flashy. Choose the one that makes the next action easier.
Write a first greeting that tells customers what to do
The first greeting should be short. It should say who the AI helps, what customers can ask, and how to continue.
Example: Hi, I am the AI staff for Green Table. Ask me about hours, menu, reservations, parking, or private dining.

Always open the public chatbot on a phone after changing the design. Check the first greeting, text contrast, menu buttons, external links, and whether the chat feels easy to start.
If the business serves international customers, test at least one question in another language.
Quick checklist
- The theme matches the business category.
- The first greeting is short and useful.
- The text is readable on mobile.
- Buttons do not overflow.
- The public page is tested after saving.
