QR and link usage
Print QR Codes Without Losing Scannability
A practical print checklist for using RealLink AI QR codes on cards, menus, signs, packaging, and flyers.
Avoid print mistakes that make QR codes hard to scan.
Keep contrast high
The safest QR code is dark code on a light background. Decorative colors can work, but low contrast makes scanning unreliable.
If the QR code is important, readability should win over decoration.
Leave quiet space
Do not place text, borders, logos, or patterns too close to the QR code. The blank margin around the code helps phone cameras recognize it.
This matters more when the code is printed small.
Test from real distance
Scan a business card from hand distance, a menu from table distance, and a sign from the distance customers will actually stand.
If it is difficult in normal lighting, increase size or simplify the design before printing.
Quick checklist
- Dark code and light background are used.
- Enough quiet space surrounds the QR code.
- The code is not distorted.
- The final print size is tested.
- The public chatbot opens after scanning.
